Nikkor 80-200mm f:2,8 AF-D
This zoom has been one of the best and more profusely used by professionals receiving multitude of commendations until its substitute's appearance the 70-200 AF-S VR. Even this way, it maintains some very high level standards. With a minimum aperture of 2.8 constant and this construction quality, the things seem no longer the same thing. It is a lens with 16 optical elements in 11 groups and 3 ED glass are included, what improves the resolution and the contrast. Their minimum focus distance is of 1,5 meters, so we have to forget the macro, but it was not constructed with this purpose. Has a diaphragm of 9 right petals what gives the most beautiful bokeh that I have seen. It is something heavy, 1.300 gr., but it includes a necklace with a balanced foot to arrange it on a tripod or any other surface. The image quality of this lens is impressive. The sharpness, color resolution, contrast and bokeh are of the best thing that we can find in the market. The Autofocus is extremely accurate, even to 2.8, and the focus errors with completely open aperture are practically invaluable, what says enough in its favour. The focus speed is almost as good as the up-to-date AF-S and it maintains the focus perfectly although the zoom is changed. Given the extreme sharpness that has and the excellent speed that provides its 2.8 constant aperture it is a lens for using with maximum guarantees in sports, portraits and something of nature, where stays a little short, we explain it, let us see: now we have an actual zoom of 120-300mm f2.8 in format DX of Nikon; if we arrange a teleconverter Nikon, TC14, for example, we would keep a 168-420mm to f:3 .5 constant, what is not anything wrong to make our first serious incursions in the wild-type animals photography. It is a total and absolute recommendation on my behalf to make you with one of them, then convinces your couple that it is the perfect lens and that she or he will appear still more beautiful, but it is a difficult point to get it nowadays. If not, you can console yourself with the new 70-200 f:2 .8 VR, some more optical quality plus a VR. But that is another history. Some
